Selecting the Perfect Garment: Most of the time the printing and design process of creating our collections get most of the attention, but garment, fabric, and color choice is what can make or break the whole piece. Although this is not the most glamorous of processes, it is one of my favorite. I am the most picky of people when it comes to the way my clothing fits which leads this process to be quite lengthy, ensuring a perfect product. Over the years I have found my go-to companies for majority of our tees and fleece. Every now and then, depending on the graphic, its target buyer, and type of cut or garment, I get to start the process all over again.
Fit: With our standard tees I like to use a more loose-fitting, slightly slimmer, semi heavy weight cotton with a thicker nice fitting collar that sits comfortably around the neck. From this description, you can now see how picky I am. Another facet I insist upon is minimal or proportional shrinking after washing and drying. One of the other components I keep as a high priority is to maintain consistency with all of our products, ensuring the customer always knows how our products will fit.
100% Cotton, Tri-Blend or Other?: The answer to this question depends on a lot of things: First, if printing the tee using a discharge process there is no choice but to stay within 100% or an 80% percent cotton blend. If choosing to print with standard plastisol or waterbased ink, many different blends are acceptable. This all depends on the overall quality, look, and feel are going for. We use a 100% to 80% blend for our standard t-shirts and fleece; we like to use tri blend on our tanks, women’s garments and our higher end products such as our Special Edition Artist Series or Collector Limited Edition pieces.
That’s a little look into what thought and consideration goes into our T-shirts and other products, before it even hits the press.
I trustyou are satisfied with our product and as always we encourage your feedback.
